Personal Information Protection Policy

JMDC Inc. (hereinafter “the Company”) is a company engaged in the medical database, information analysis and information provision service business, and considers safety management for personal information protection as an important responsibility of the Company. The Company recognizes that it is a social mission to manage personal information received from business partners and employees with a clear system and rules.
All officers and employees of the Company comply with laws, regulations, and guidelines regarding personal information. The Company intends to build a personal information management system to protect individual rights and continuously improve and practice it, considering the usefulness of personal information provided for the Company’s business under the following Personal Information Protection Policy.

  1. Handling of Personal Information
    The Company will clarify the purpose of use of personal information and handle it only within the scope of achieving that purpose. If it is used beyond the scope of the purpose of use, personal information will not be provided without the consent of the person, unless required by law.
  2. Safety Management
    The Company will establish internal rules and take reasonable safety measures, preventive measures, and corrective measures against risks such as unauthorized access to personal information, leakage, loss, or damage of personal information.
  3. Compliance with Laws
    The Company will comply with laws and regulations, national guidelines, and other standards regarding the handling of personal information.
  4. Improvement of Personal Information Protection System
    In order to continuously maintain and improve the personal information protection system, the Company will continually review and improve the personal information protection management system.
  5. Handling of Inquiries
    The Company will accept complaints and consultations regarding the handling of personal information, etc., and will respond appropriately and promptly.

    The Company is a member of the following authorized personal information protection organizations, which accept complaints and consultations regarding the handling of personal information by their members.

  7. Anonymously Processed Information
    When the Company creates anonymously processed information (anonymously processed information stipulated in Article 2, Paragraph 9 of the Personal Information Protection Law, the same shall apply hereinafter), it carries out appropriate processing based on laws and regulations, take measures to manage safety, publishes the information items included in the anonymously processed information, and prohibits the identification of the person.In addition, when providing anonymously processed information, the Company publishes the items of personal information included in the anonymously processed information and the method of providing it, and clearly indicates that it is anonymously processed information.
