About the Use of
Medical Receipt and the Protection of Personal Information
As for the use of medical receipt
information, it is admitted that it is very profitable
for the quality improvement of insurant's health care,
epidemiologic study, and medical treatment. However,
both of the necessity of protection of individual
information and statistical processing are requested
to be achieved at the same time when being handled.
In Act for Protection of Computer Processed Personal
Data held by Administrative Organs and the epidemiologic
study ethics indicator, the rule for the medical receipt
use is clearly described.
